Starfield Xbox Controller May Have Leaked Online

If you’re excited about Bethesda’s upcoming space-faring epic, we may have some good news for you. It seems that, a short while ago, a special edition Starfield Xbox controller leaked online, with images surfacing on a Chinese website – before being shared across the likes of Resetera and Reddit, of course.

It may seem too good to be true, but the controller looks fantastic in a series of images currently hosted on Imgur. It’s super detailed and looks undeniably accurate – far too accurate to be a fake, but never say never, right?

Is The Starfield Xbox Controller Real?

It was just days ago that we discussed – and were disappointed by – the Diablo IV Xbox ‘bundle’ that was revealed by Microsoft. It was in that discussion that we threw out the notion that far too few limited-edition consoles have been released this generation, but that could be about to change.

It’s not uncommon for Microsoft to release a special edition Xbox controller without an accompanying console – far from it. But, this is expected to be one of the most impactful, hyped-up launches to ever hit the platform, and if Microsoft doesn’t capitalise on the excitement and release a limited edition console – maybe with this Starfield Xbox controller – then it’s missing a massive opportunity.

It’s a stunning controller, for sure. It’s undeniably ‘spaceship-ey-‘, boasting references to pilot control systems and featuring a clean white and grey colour palette with charming red detailing. It has a chrome d-pad, and an awesome, inspirational message written inside the battery cover:

For all, into the Starfield

It looks phenomenal, and if it eventually comes bundled with a limited edition Xbox Series X console, then all the better.
