In a new series of posts on X today, Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe confirmed that new ports for Stardew Valley are “still in progress.”
They reassured fans that “I have personally been working on the mobile port every day,” though there’s still no concrete release window. The developer added that the next PC update is also in progress.
ConcernedApe simply reiterated it will announce when “meaningful news” like a release date is ready. The dev made it clear they’re working hard to progress, with ports and updates “on my mind every minute.”
In the same thread, ConcernedApe replied to a fan comment about pricing. The developer stated they “will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live.” The reply also invited fans to “screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath.”
Farming and life sim Stardew Valley originally launched in 2016, and it still continues to thrive. As of February 2024, the developer confirmed that Stardew Valley reached 30 million copies sold.
Just one month later, Stardew Valley managed to hit an all-time player count. This followed the major 1.6 update for the game.
That update introduced new festivals, end-game content, a completely new farm type, and more. The beloved indie offers plenty of fresh content that newcomers could invest in for upcoming Stardew Valley ports.
