Spider-Man Voice Actor Wants Deadpool in Insomniac Game

Yuri Lowenthal, Insomniac’s Spider-Man voice actor, says he wants Deadpool to appear in a future game and has repeatedly pitched the idea.

Although the quote comes from an interview years ago, a newly repackaged short of Lowenthal’s comments has started circulating.

Yuri Lowenthal Wants Deadpool in an Insomniac Spider-Man Game

Insomniac‘s Peter Parker voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal, hopes Deadpool eventually joins the studio’s Spider-Man games and has pitched the idea repeatedly. These comments come from an interview with the Movie Dweeb on YouTube.

The initial question was whether Lowenthal would enjoy seeing Wolverine and Spider-Man interact in a video game. While he would be interested in that, he admits that the one character he really wants to see in one of the Insomniac video games is Deadpool.

Deadpool’s Video Game History

Deadpool has been featured in video games before. Of course, he’s currently playable in the Marvel Rivals game. He’s also playable in the current Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls video game. He also appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. He even had his own game over a decade ago, released on the PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, and PC. It has since been delisted on Steam.

Still, it remains to be seen whether or not Insomniac will feature him in one of their games. Right now, the studio is focused on the upcoming Wolverine game, which releases on September 15. That game is exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

Do you think we will ever see Deadpool in an Insomniac game? Will Deadpool get his own standalone video game on consoles again? Sound off about this story and all others in our official Discord server.
