Earlier today, an image surfaced reportedly showcasing the title screen for Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5. It was uploaded to Twitter amidst the news that preview copies of the highly anticipated web-slinging title were being circulated, so it’s almost certainly legitimate.
Of course, it has stimulated that recent debate just a little, with some users in social circles making jibes about Starfield’s title screen and main menu. If you’ve not been online for a while, there was a scandal spreading around before Starfield’s launch regarding the plainness and simplicity of Starfield’s menu. It was a key talking point about the game for a hot minute, but like all things, it faded away into the abyss.
Spider-Man’s Title Screen is Cool, Though
On Twitter, user Germain Lussier uploaded a high-quality shot of the Spider-Man 2 title screen, showcasing Peter Parker staring into a tank that seems to contain the Venom Symbiote. It’s a simple thing but it’s a loaded image, offering a key insight into the story that is set out ahead of players.
It was recently revealed that the preview embargo for Spider-Man 2 will be lifted on October 16th, with the full game being released four days later, on October 20th. It’s a busy month for new games, and some developers and publishers have made the crucial decision to delay their games to avoid clashing with Spider-Man 2, which for many PlayStation fans will undoubtedly be branded Game of the Year.
