A new trademark for Sly Cooper has appeared online from Sony, but it is not for a new game; it is just some new merch.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating a revival of the beloved Sly Cooper franchise by Sucker Punch, but there has been no official word from the developers yet. Over time, there have been hints suggesting that a new Sly Cooper game might be in development, but no concrete details have been revealed so far.
Sly Cooper Stationery, Clay Modeling Kit, Boxes and More Trademarked
A new post by Stephen Totilo on Substack reveals Sony’s new Sly Cooper merch trademark. The application was filed on September 11, 2026, and it covers a wide range of merchandise. The trademark includes printed posters, graphic novels, comic books, writing instruments, adhesives, drawing instruments, pens, crayons, paper folders, paint brushes, modeling clay, silicone food storage boxes, table napkins, party decorations, and so much more.
Unfortunately, the trademark doesn’t include any games, movies, or series adaptations; it is limited to the merchandise mentioned above. If you were hoping to see a hint of a new game, then you might have to wait a bit longer.

The last Sly Cooper title was Thieves in Time, which was released exclusively in 2013 for the PS3 and PS Vita. However, Sanzaru Games developed it, as Sucker Punch’s attention had shifted to the InFamous series. The last Sucker Punch Sly Cooper Game was Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, which was released in 2005 for the PS2.
