Slitterhead Developer Working on Next Major Project

Bokeh Game Studio is working on a new large-scale project. The developer is led by Keiichiro Toyama, known for his work on the Silent Hill series. In November 2024, the studio released its first game, Slitterhead. Now, to celebrate their fifth year as a studio, they’re working on their next major title.

Confirmation of this comes from the HRMOS recruitment site. The Bokeh page features a message from Toyama, in which he explains that this will be an irreplaceable experience for prospective staff members and invites them to bring their own originality.

Be Original, Says Toyama

The core of Bokeh Game Studio his originality. Toyama’s message says the studio doesn’t make games that anyone else could make. In fact, they frequently question why they are making a game as they go.

Now, the next major title is in the works, and they are looking forward to people joining the team and being just as dedicated as they are.

“Our entire studio is currently working on a new project. It’s not an easy path, as we’ll be going through a lot of trial and error from the very beginning. However, this means we’ll be deeply involved in the core of the work, and our own choices and struggles will directly shape the game,” says the listing.

Slitterhead Reception

Slitterhead was released in November 2024, and the game had mixed reviews at first. Currently, the game has mostly positive reviews on Steam, but for every person who suggests the game is worth a shot, there may be a review that notes some difficulties with the title.

In any case, Bokeh is going back to the drawing board in 2026. Check out more on Sltterhead’s early reception at this link.
