SkewMond Still Set to Leave G2 Despite Perkz Sacking, It’s Claimed

It’s believed that impressive French League of Legends pro Rudy ‘SkewMond’ Semaan is still going to leave G2 Esports.

It was reported by Sheep Esports that the jungler is leaving the team, while rumours spread that he had tension with G2 Head Coach Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković.

However, Perkz has been fired as G2 LEC coach after an unprompted tangent about the morality of abortions.

Still, Sheep Esports reporter Brieuc ‘LEC Wooloo’ Seeger claims that SkewMond is still leaving, with Vitality jungler Linas ‘Lyncas’ Nauncikas joining the team.

French Politician Defends SkewMond and Criticises Perkz

Surprisingly, a French politician has weighed in on G2’s LoL offseason drama.

Denis Masséglia from France’s ruling Centralist party La République En Marche! (LREM) responded to Perkz on Twitter.

“I’ve long admired the player Perkz, his talent, his career. But I cannot let these remarks pass: describing abortion as “murder” is detestable.

“In France, abortion is a freedom guaranteed by the Constitution, and I had the honor of voting for its inclusion. We do not compromise on that.”

When one fan asked the politician to bring SkewMond back to G2, Masséglia expressed his surprise at G2’s decision:

“I have no business meddling in a club’s decisions, but I don’t understand G2’s choice: parting ways with what may be its best player is a surprising gamble.

“Given his talent, I’m convinced he won’t stay without a team for long.”

Where Could SkewMond Go?

In Perkz’s lengthy, self-titled “bomb,” he did not mention Skewmond directly or address the rumours of a falling out.

Though, Perkz did claim that he “came into a broken and dysfunctional team, with a lot of trauma and trust issues.”

Currently, there have been no reports of where SkewMond will end up, seeing as the Frenchman was playing at Worlds less than a week ago.

The Frenchman will have a lot of suitors, especially considering his impressive international showings at First Stand earlier in the year.

With Lyncas moving to G2, it’s possible that SkewMond could go to France-based Vitality, but it would be surprising considering the organisation’s previous results.

Similarly, KC are also France-based and would feel like a natural fit, though the team already has a star jungler in Linas ‘Lyncas’ Nauncikas.

Meanwhile, streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has hinted that more European players might go to the LCS and selected Cloud9 as a wildcard prediction.

And there has also been rumours on social media of a swap between G2 and LYON for SkewMond and Kacper ‘Inspired’ SÅ‚oma, though that would go against recent reports.
