Silent Hill: Ascension Cinematic Story Trailer Released

The cinematic story trailer for Silent Hill: Ascension has been released.

The game, being published by Konami, isn’t the typical Silent Hill title. Instead, it’s a live-streaming interactive series based on the Silent Hill universe. Players will watch what unfolds, and interact with the series to determine what happens to the characters involved.

According to Konami, the “actions of millions will determine the outcome” of every character. As new scenes stream, players will be given more choices that help the story unfold.

“We are pleased to tell a new interactive story, in never-before-explored locations, alongside new characters that will be introduced to fans of the Silent Hill universe,” Motoi Okamoto, a producer on the Silent Hill series at Konami, said in a press release. “It is you who will decide the fate of multiple main characters, which will unfold simultaneously around the globe.”

“We’ve gone the extra mile to create a dreamlike world in SILENT HILL: Ascension ‎with disturbing, hyper-detailed characters, other-worldly monsters, immersive atmospheres, and an overall audio and visual design that our team is very proud of,” Chris Amaral, Art Director at Bad Robot Games, said. “The detailed environments, the eerie ambiance, and the realistic characters and monsters should really enhance the horror experience, creating something that is pure SILENT HILL, while also feeling unique for the franchise.”
