In a recent interview with Kinda Funny, Todd Howard dished the latest updates on Starfield and Fallout, confirming a few things that players have been wanting to hear for a while. He talked at length about what’s next for Starfield, including mods on console, a big upcoming update, and Shattered Space, the first expansion for the space-faring RPG that was released in September 2023.
Longer Than We Thought
In the most recent episode of the Kinda Funny Gamescast, Todd Howard opened up about Bethesda, his career, and of course, Starfield and Fallout. In recent weeks, Fallout has become one of the biggest and most popular topics in the world, both in and out of the gaming industry.
Starfield hasn’t fared so well of late, with the game’s player count decreasing over time as many give up waiting around for a major expansion. It was confirmed pre-launch that the game’s first expansion would be called Shattered Space, but up until now, we’ve had no information as to what that’ll look like or when it’ll be released.
Todd Howard has finally given us something of a window, stressing that Shattered Space will be released in Fall 2024, a full year after the release of the game itself. He gave nothing else away, but that’s better than nothing and it helps set some expectations, even if that’s way further away than we thought it would be.
In June, we can expect to see the first revealing trailer for Shattered Space.
