FromSoftware is preparing to bring players the highly anticipated first and last DLC for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, on June 21, 2024. Just a week before the DLC drops, the developers have announced an exciting upcoming patch that will introduce new features for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, along with bug fixes and balance adjustments. The latest patch will be released on June 20, with server maintenance scheduled for 7:00 to 10:00 UTC.
The Shadow of the Erdtree patch is designed with players in mind, introducing inventory features to help you better manage your items. Any new item you obtain will be marked with a ‘!’ so you can spot them more easily on the menu. Also, a new tab called ‘Recent Items’ will be available for all your recently acquired items to sit.
With the new Summoning Pool features, players have received more control over the tools. Active Summoning Pools are now available in New Game Plus. In the upcoming patch, you will be able to enable or disable individual summoning pools through the new Map Functions Menu. Lastly, the Small Golden Effigy will allow you to select only Active Summoning Pools.
Additionally, the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree patch will bring exciting new customization options for players. Among these additions are five fresh hairstyles that will be made available. These new styles can be accessed through the character creation section using either the Clouded Mirror Stand or Rennala’s Rebirth feature. Furthermore, FromSoftware has announced that they will introduce even more features as the update nears its release.

After this what’s next for From Software?
Would love to see From Software make something other than these they should call Gen Urobuchi work with him. Hideyuki Kikuchi is another name they could make something amazing with mixing Demon City Shinjuku, Wicked City, and Vampire Hunter D it could be amazing having a third person urban metropolis style From Software game with some cyberpunk elements.
Is From Software making anything else? They’ve made more games last gen and the gen before that. Armored Core and Elden Ring came out so what’s next?
Are they making a sci-fi game?
