Shadow of the Erdtree Has No New Trophies or Achievements

Shadow of the Erdtree, the massive and highly anticipated expansion for Elden Ring, is being released today. However, it has been noted that the super-sized DLC doesn’t have any new trophies or achievements for players to unlock. That’s par for the course with FromSoft games, but it’s still a disappointment to those gamers who seek the extra challenge of ticking those collector-based boxes.

Finally Here

It has been more than two years since Elden Ring was released to an overwhelmingly positive reception, stunning gamers worldwide. For the longest time, FromSoftware has been cooking on Shadow of the Erdtree, one of the most eagerly anticipated DLCs to emerge in recent years for any game. It’s a whopping investment at $39.99, but Elden Ring fans will tell you that it’s more than worth the money.

However, the expansion – which is around 16 GB in size – will feature plenty of content but nothing in the way of new PlayStation Trophies or Xbox Achievements. That’s a hit for those who play games specifically to unlock these rewards that many class as outdated or unnecessary. To each his own, right?

Are you particularly bothered by the fact that there are no new achievements or trophies for Shadow of the Erdtree? Let us know in the comments below.

  • If it had a seperate trophy list altogether, I would buy it again. If the DLC had trophies, I’d buy it too. Now I am not buing it.

CD Projekt RED had four trophy lists across PS4 and PS5 version of The Witcher 3. Bought it four times, did four platinums.
