Sandfall Interactive Reveals Upcoming RPG Expedition 33

The Xbox Games Showcase is throwing out hit after hit with the announcement and reveal trailers, but one took me by surprise. Expedition 33, an upcoming RPG by developer Sandfall Interactive, shows promise. Here’s what we know so far!

First and foremost, the reveal trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 displays a world of mystery and magic, with otherworldly beings seemingly controlling the fate of an entire population. But the player, as part of Expedition 33, will fight back against this looming threat.

The gameplay, especially the combat, appears most similar to JRPGs. It’s action-packed yet relies on a turn-based system, with each character wielding unique weapons and abilities against various enemies.

We don’t have a release date just yet, but there is a release window for Expedition 33 in 2025!
