The release date for Rhythm Heaven Groove has been announced. The game will be released on July 2, 2026. The news was confirmed via the Nintendo Today app.
Rhythm Heaven Groove was first announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation on March 27, 2025. The game is one of the final titles announced prior to the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and will also be available on the original Nintendo Switch.
Rhythm Heaven History
The game is the third in the franchise, which began with the original Rhythm Heaven, released on the Nintendo DS nearly 20 years ago, in July 2008. Rhythm Heaven Fever was released on the Nintendo Wii in February 2012, and now, more than a decade later, the series is back.
Alongside the release date, gameplay from one of the mini games in Rhythm Heaven Groove was shown. Slice N Dice Kitchen is a rhythm-based mini game where players catch vegetables and slice them to the beat.
More Potential Nintendo Announcements Incoming
While all players are waiting for the day that Nintendo holds its first general Nintendo Direct presentation of the year, there are some announcements rumored to be forthcoming. NateTheHate had previously revealed that a new Star Fox game is expected to be released this summer. Additionally, that game is expected to be revealed later this month.
Also, there is an expectation that a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be forthcoming this year. Learn more about that at this link.
