The movie was first announced in October 2022, and is based on Silent Hill 2. It’s also the third entry in the film adaptation of the classic horror game, and is the first since 2012’s Silent Hill: Revelation. That movie, which was also based on the original game, starred Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harrington.
In addition to the movie, it was recently confirmed that Bloober Team is developing a remake of the original Silent Hill game. It’s the same studio responsible for the well-received Silent Hill 2 remake that was released in October 2024.
