During Chapter 2 of the Resident Evil 4 (RE4) remake, you’ll come to the Village Chief’s manor, which is a large house north of the Abandoned Factory, and south of the Village Square. Inside the house you’ll find a dresser with a combination lock, and inside that dresser you’ll find a Crystal Marble. The Crystal Marble fits into a hole in the door at the end of the upstairs landing of the Village Chief’s Manor, so go up there and insert it into the hole in the door. It’s the next part, namely the Resident Evil 4 marble puzzle, which is kind of tricky.
How to Solve The Resident Evil 4 Marble Puzzle
The Crystal Marble has a multitude of little bubbles inside it. While it may look like the positioning of these bubbles is random and chaotic, it is not. The bubbles are actually arranged to form the shape of the insignia in this door, and in other doors and gates throughout the game. The thing is that the insignia is only visible when the Crystal Marble is viewed from exactly the correct angle. So, to solve the Chapter 2 Village Chief Crystal Ball puzzle, you need to rotate the Crystal Marble in the hole until the bubbles form the shape of the insignia.
Given that there are no precise moves or actions involved in solving this puzzle, we can’t give you an exact solution. However, we can tell you that the first thing you should do is rotate the Crystal Marble vertically, so push up or down on the left stick. What this should do is concentrate the bubbles into a triangle formation, which is closer to the shape of the insignia. Next, use R1/RB and L1/LB to rotate the triangle so that, like the insignia, it has two points at the top, and one at the bottom. If your triangle isn’t focussed enough, try using left or right on the left stick to turn it 180 degrees. If it’s focussed, but the door doesn’t unlock, then the points aren’t matched with the insignia, so you should use R1/RB and L1/LB until they are.
