The developers of Replaced have revealed the game’s length and performance targets for the Xbox Series X/S consoles.
The first trailer for Replaced was released in 2021, and a release date was initially set for 2022. However, the game has experienced several delays, with the latest postponement pushing the release to April 2026. Now, just a few weeks before its release, the developers have shared information about the game’s length and its performance on consoles.
Replaced Will Be ‘Around 8 Hours’ Long, Targetting 4K/60 FPS on the Xbox Series X
During a new interview with Gamingbolt, Replaced’s director, Yura Zhdanovich, and composer, Igor Gritsay, discussed several details about the title. Starting with Replaced’s game length, the developers have stated that “the average might be around 8 hours”, with players getting to spend “11-12” hours when searching for optional stuff. However, no side content will be pushed onto players, and the experience will depend on their playstyle.
Regarding Replaced’s performance on the current-gen Xbox consoles, Sad Cat Studios is targeting 4K/60 FPS on the Series X and 1440p/60 FPS on the Series S.
Replaced Developer Comments on PS5 and Switch 2 Release
In the same interview, the developers discussed the release of Replaced on PS5 and Switch 2. They explained that when initiating conversations with various platforms, they decided to launch the game “as an Xbox-first and Game Pass title”, as they felt this was the best fit for them. Regarding the Switch 2, the developer has stated: “We can’t confirm any additional platforms at this time.”
