Rematch Has Released a Hotfix for In-Game Exploits

Rematch players have been using several exploits to get an unfair advantage in the game; however, the developers have now released a hotfix to remedy this issue.

If you have been playing or watching Rematch, you may already be aware of two exploits. The first issue is the jump speed problem, where jumping is faster than running, and the other is the wall dribbling exploit, where players repeatedly volley lob the ball against the wall to maintain possession. The new hotfix will fix both of these issues.

Sloclap has just released Patch Hotfix #9 – 1.20.009, which addresses exploits, implements balancing changes, and fixes bugs. The first Rematch balancing changes are coming for the Outfield Dive (Dolphin Dive), where the speed of the player’s recovery after the dive has been adjusted, making the dive spam less efficient as an acceleration point. This adjustment will also impact how the ability feels in “legitimate circumstances”.

Many may have seen the Wall-Dribbling exploit in some recent Rematch clips, where the player can essentially fly across the pitch by repeatedly volleying lob taps against a wall. To fix the issue, the developers have made the ball interactable five frames later than it used to be, so that the player can’t float across the pitch. However, this change will also impact other abilities, such as the volley shot or volley lob tap on a very high ball.

The developers will monitor the changes to these mechanics and will require player feedback to adjust the game’s feel further. At the same time, they have fixed the camera jitter during goal replays and several other stability issues.
