A new update, dubbed update 1.03, has added a 60 FPS mode to Red Dead Redemption Remastered.
First reported and spotted by Push Square, the new mode came via the 1.03 update which is only a few hundred MB in size. The official description of the update reads, “general bug fixes, stability fixes, and improvements”.
Despite the official description not mentioning the 60 FPS mode though, players can find that the new mode was added within the pause menu, which allows players to toggle it on and off. Push Square reports that they have only been able to verify that mode is currently on the PS5 via backward compatibility and are unsure of the other platforms.
Red Dead Redemption is one of Rockstar Games’ classis, but its remastered version was met with skepticism from fans following the botched release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. One of the major downfalls of the remaster was the lack of frame rate upgrades, so the 60 FPS mode is a warm welcome.
The Red Dead Redemption Remaster is available for $49.99.
