A physical copy of Red Dead Redemption Remastered is releasing on PS5. It means you can add another physical edition of RDR to your collection, and also highlights a lack of RDR 2 love lately.
Back in 2025, Red Dead Redemption owners got a free upgrade. It gives the legendary game a nice graphical and performance overhaul, and makes RDR a Western joy to play. It was weird that Red Dead didn’t get a physical disc for PS5, but Rockstar Games was clearly fooling us all and biding its time.
Red Dead Redemption PS5 Physical Disc Releasing May 7

If you go to Wakkap (source credit goes to Portal Viciados) and search for Red Dead Redemption, you’ll see all the other editions we’ve come to know on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, etc, but there’s a new PS5 physical edition.
It’s priced at €32.90 (approximately just under $40), and the website has listed a May 7 release date.
At the time of writing, nowhere else seems to have gotten the memo on a Red Dead Redemption PS5 Physical launch just yet, but unless this is a wild mistake, expect more online retailers and outlets to start advertising this as well.
It’s also apparent that only the PlayStation 5 is being advertised for now, but more formats could be announced as well.

If you need something to play, or you’re just desperate for more Red Dead, this might be what you need. It’s claimed that a Red Dead Redemption 2 Enhanced Edition is still coming ‘this year,’ and it’s high time we got it!
Adding a physical Red Dead Redemption PS5 edition to your collection might be a necessity. Rockstar Games continues to have a ton of success from its older games, making us wait impatiently for GTA 6. Let us know if you’re going to buy it by popping over to the Insider Gaming Discord.
