At Gamescom, Zack Snyder took to the stage to expand on Rebel Moon, his all-new movie coming exclusively to Netflix. This reveal came in the form of an epic trailer that showcased the all-star cast, original story, and dramatic scenery that’s coming in Rebel Moon when it releases (at least, part one releases) on December 22nd.
However, Snyder was also eager to point out that Rebel Moon will go beyond just being a two-part movie – there’s an entire universe planned that extends to a videogame being developed by Super Evil Megacorp.
Rebel Moon, Coming December 22nd
The first part of Rebel Moon – a Child of Fire – drops on December 22nd, 2023. Then, the follow-up portion – The Scargiver – will release on April 19th, 2024. It isn’t yet known when the game – whatever it takes the form of – will be released, but Snyder explained that players will have the opportunity to assume the role of ‘whatever rebel they want’, and they’ll be able to go out and ‘complete missions’.
Snyder touched upon the ‘Rebel Moon RPG’ back in March on a podcast, but since then, everything went relatively quiet on the topic.
So, there’s plenty yet to be uncovered from within this endeavoured ecosystem of entertainment, and it all begins with the Rebel Moon movie, the first part of which releases on December 22nd. Check out the trailer below, if you’re interested.
