The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is leading the way in Europe in console sales while both Xbox and Nintendo have fallen behind.
According to the latest data, 481,000 consoles were sold across European markets — UK and Germany not included — in October. PS5 sales are up 143% year-over-year in the region. Nintendo Switch fell 20% year-over-year but finished second in console sales while the Xbox Series X|S fell 52% in the same time.
As far as games are concerned, EA Sports FC 24 was the number-one-selling game for October. Assassin’s Creed Mirage finished second while Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 came in third.
As far as the individual game performances year-over-year, though, Assassin’s Creed Mirage sold 49% less than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla did in its first four weeks on the market. Spider-Man 2, however, sold 30% more than what 2018’s Spider-Man did during its first two weeks.
