Nintendo has officially announced the release date of Pokémon Pokopia, with a new trailer for the game set to be released later this week.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nintendo announced that Pokémon Pokopia will be released on March 5, just a week after Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary.

It has also been confirmed that Pokémon Pokopia will not have a physical release and, instead, non-downloaded copies will come with a game key card to unlock the download.

Further details for Pokémon Pokopia have also been revealed on the game’s official Japanese website, which confirms the Animal Crossing-like details of the game.

In Pokémon Pokopia, players will collect stones and wood to make furniture, grow vegetables in cultivated fields, and build homes for their Pokémon, while it was also confirmed that time in-game is linked to the real world.

The weather and time of day will impact the personalities of various Pokémon, while it’s also teased that “maybe one day you’ll be able to build a big city and invite Pokémon and other players over.”

More details for the game will be revealed in a new trailer, due to be released on Thursday, November 13 at 2 PM UTC.
