The world of Pokémon Pokopia is expanding with the Expansion Pass, with the first drop of new content on the horizon, which means it’s time to consider splashing out.
Koei Tecmo has brought regular additions of new content to Pokopia since release, with another free update set to follow alongside the first wave of DLC, but new areas are set to be locked behind a paywall.

How Much Is the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass?
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is priced at $34.99 and is not included as standard for those who already own the full game.
However, for those yet to jump into Pokémon Pokopia, a bundle is available that includes the base game with the Expansion Pass, priced at $104.99.
This is pretty much the exact price as purchasing the pair separately, so you won’t save any money by bundling them together, though it will make it easier.
Regional prices for the Expansion Pass will vary, so it’s worth checking on your local Nintendo eShop to see the full currency breakdown.
What’s Included in The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass?
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is split into three waves on content, with the first being the arrival of a new area, Bubbly Basin, on August 5.
Players can dive beneath the waves to restore what’s left of Cerulean City, meeting new Pokémon along the way including Lumineon, Totodile, Manaphy, and Popplio.
The second wave of the Expansion Pass, releasing later in 2026, provides more customisation options, including accessories for Pokémon to wear.
The third and final part of the Expansion Pass arrives in 2027, which will bring another new location to explore and rebuild.
