Another year marks another anniversary for the Pokémon franchise, and the Pokémon Day Presents 2026 showcase has now finally been confirmed.
Just like the past five years, The Pokémon Company is releasing an anniversary video packed with new reveals and teasers to coincide with Pokémon Day, and it’s a must-watch event for Pokémon fans.
For all the details on when the Pokémon Day Presents 2026 showcase is available to watch, and what’s expected to be shown, Insider Gaming has you covered.
When Is Pokémon Day Presents 2026?

Pokémon Day Presents 2026 takes place on Friday, February 27, the anniversary of the release of the first Pokémon Games, Red and Green, in Japan.
Pokémon celebrates this day every year with news and fresh releases, with a history in the past few years of going all-out with a major showcase. While other Pokémon Presents are expected to take place later this year, the showcase on Pokémon Day will be the biggest of them all.
This year’s Pokémon Day marks 30 years since the release of the first games in the franchise, and comes at a major turning point for Pokémon across various aspects.

As mentioned, Pokémon Day Presents 2026 is not a live event, with a pre-recorded video instead set to be distributed across multiple platforms simultaneously.
Videos will go live across the various Pokémon YouTube channels at the above times, and a stream can also be watched via Twitch. Other channels like TikTok and Instagram will feature highlights of the announcements.
What To Expect From Pokémon Day Presents 2026
Pokémon Day Presents 2026 is expected to see a flood of announcements across ongoing titles and upcoming releases already announced, as well as some surprises.
New Pokopia footage is likely to be shared, ahead of the game’s release on March 5, and there could be details on post-launch updates. Similarly, expect fresh additions to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including the long-awaited arrival of Mega Garchomp Z.
Undoubtedly, the biggest news, however, is the expected reveal of Pokémon’s tenth generation. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released in November 2022, turning four this year, and that wait is slightly longer than the usual three-year cycle between Pokémon generations.

Elsewhere, a 30th anniversary TCG set is likely to be revealed, alongside a release date for Pokémon Champions. It’s already been announced that Champions will be used for VGC at the Pokémon World Championships in August, so release details should be right around the corner.
Some news has already been revealed ahead of the anniversary, including the re-release of Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green on Nintendo Switch platforms, and a trio of new additions coming to Pokémon Unite.
How Long Is Pokémon Day Presents 2026?
Pokémon Day Presents 2026 will be around 25 minutes long. While that may seem short on paper, it’s one of the longest in recent years.
As detailed by Serebii’s Joe Merrick, the 2026 presentation is the longest since 2023, which was also 25 minutes long, and six minutes longer than the 2025 edition of the showcase.
It’s also significantly longer than the 12-minute showcase in 2024 and the 14-minute showcase of 2022, so there is plenty of time for reveals and new content.
