Pokémon Center 30th Anniversary Pre-Orders Delayed in UK

Pre-orders for Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary products from the Pokémon Center in the UK have been delayed, with the site experiencing “delays in processing and shipping orders.”

The first wave of products in the Pokémon 30th Anniversary set releases worldwide on Wednesday, September 16, but it seems that fans in the UK who ordered from the Pokémon Center will have to wait to get products in hand.

A banner on the Pokémon Center UK website informs of order processing delays, and it now seems extremely unlikely that anyone who has yet to be charged for pre-orders will receive products on the Sept. 16 launch date.

The banner reads: “Order Processing Delays: We are currently experiencing delays in processing and shipping orders. Some orders may take longer than usual to be dispatched and delivered. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”

Concern about delays in the processing of payments and delivery began to rise over the weekend with many fans, including myself, still yet to be charged for pre-order products.

The Pokémon Center charges for pre-orders when the shipping process begins, though this usually occurs a week before the release date, and the fact that it hasn’t occurred yet means there’s still no indication of when products will be in hand.

It seems the issues only affect those in the UK, as users in the United States have stated pre-order payments have started to be taken ahead of this week’s release date.
