PlayStation might have some announcements during Summer Games Fest 2024, it’s been claimed.
Renowned tipster, Midori, known for their scoops related to SEGA and Nintendo, recently tweeted about PlayStation attending Summer Game Fest. The post informed players that more information regarding “Metaphor: ReFantazio and Sonic X Shadow Generations” will be relayed during the Summer Game Fest. Adding to this, Midori stated that we can expect announcements on “more titles from SIE studios too”.
It is hard to know what PlayStation will showcase at the event, as they have only revealed that they will be at the event in some capacity. However, we speculate that it could be the game that LEGO and PlayStation are collaborating to create, LEGO Horizon Adventures, which was exclusively reported by Insider Gaming earlier this month. The game should be similar to what we have seen in their Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and other Traveller’s Tale series of games. Sources previously revealed that the game would be “Horizon Forbidden West but LEGO.”
Other than that, players are hoping that we might receive something from Sucker Punch, maybe a reveal for Ghost of Tsushima 2. Geoff Keighley also has a close relationship with Kojima, so we might get another glimpse at Death Stranding 2. In addition, Astrobot pre-orders are set to go live on June 7, so another look at the game could be on hand during the main show.
Sony Interactive Entertainment recently hosted a State of Play event, which included a series of announcements and reveals such as Astro Boy, Concord, God of War: Ragnarok PC release date and a bunch more for PSVR 2 too. It seems this dedicated event was probably not long enough for them to provide us with updates on all of their projects. Which could be a reason enough to take the stage during Summer Game Fest 2024.
What do you think PlayStation could be cooking up for Summer Game Fest in 2024?
