PlayStation Plus Premium Gets A Baldur’s Gate 3 Trial

If you’ve been on the fence about buying Baldur’s Gate 3, you have a chance to try it before you buy it on PlayStation 5 (PS5) through PlayStation Plus Premium.

The trial allows players to play the game for up to two hours before having to buy it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on PS5 back in September and has received eight award nominations at The Game Awards 2023, including Game of the Year. It’s set to finally launch on Xbox in December with the release date being announced during the aforementioned awards show.

In addition to releasing on Xbox, Larian Studios recently revealed a physical Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming in Q1 2024. The new physical edition of the game will include:

  • A copy of the game
  • A world map
  • An original soundtrack on three discs
  • A Mind Flayer poster
  • A Deluxe Edition box, designed to match the previous games’ ‘big box’ PC editions
  • 32 stickers
  • 2 patches

As of publishing, Baldur’s Gate 3 has a 96 Metacritic score, making it tied for the highest-rated game of the year on the site with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
