Fans of the life-simulation genre have been treated well this year, and there’s still more to come with Petit Planet, with the final beta for the title on the horizon.
The HoYoverse title is due to be released in Winter 2026, with an official release date yet to be announced, and there’s one final opportunity to try the game early before the big launch.

When Does The Petit Planet Final Beta Start?
The final beta for Petit Planet kicks off on September 20, offering limited access, a data wipe upon completion, and no in-game purchases.
With the Winter 2026 release window now on the horizon, Petit Planet is working through the final stages of testing before the big launch, and sign-ups for the final beta remain open until September 14.
No details have been shared on exactly when access will begin on September 20, but the previous betas may provide an indication of when the doors will open.
The previous Stardrift test began at 9 AM China time, so a similar start time can be expected for the final test. The table below provides details on when access should begin in various time zones worldwide.

When Does The Petit Planet Final Beta End?
No end date for the final beta of Petit Planet has been announced by HoYoverse, though this is expected given the same approach has been used for previous tests.
Rather than announcing the end date up front, HoYoverse has adopted an approach of confirming when the respective beta will end later down the line.
Again, though, previous beta tests could provide an expected timeframe. The Stardrift Test, for example, began on April 21 and ended just over a month later on May 25.
Prior to that, the Coziness Test began on November 7, 2025, and ended on December 1, coming in at just less than a month, so we expect the final beta test to last for three to four weeks.
