Peni Parker Confirmed for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Peni Parker has been revealed as a playable character in the upcoming fighting game, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Her inclusion was revealed in a trailer for The Amazing Guardians. This team is comprised of Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and the aforementioned young Parker.

The official trailer was released during the Arc World Tour 2025–2026 Finals in Korea. An official PlayStation blog, written by game producer Takeshi Yamanaka, teases that players will learn more about how this team comes together by playing Episode Mode.

The PlayStation blog also highlights the “Promoter,” another new character featured in the trailer. Her real name is revealed to be Xirena Awhina, and she’s an Elder of the Universe. It is said that she travels the galaxy organizing massive entertainment events, such as the high-stakes tournament that unfolds throughout the game’s story mode. Further details will be revealed soon.

Also, they’ve announced that the latest build of the game features Automatic Team Name Generation. The game will select characters and create a fun team name that references each character’s lore.

“The name appears on screen and is even announced by a ring announcer. Try out different combinations to discover cool, surprising, or just plain fun team names.”

The game is slated for release on August 6. It will be playable on PlayStation 5 and PC. Insider Gaming will continue to report the latest updates on the game as the release date nears.
