PDP Riffmaster Is The First Guitar Controller Designed For Fortnite Festival

Gaming peripheral company PDP has officially unveiled the PDP Riffmaster, a new wireless guitar controller designed for both Rock Band 4 and Fortnite Festival coming this spring.

Originally teased back in December, the Riffmaster takes the classic guitar controller design and makes modern changes to it.

The new controller features similar buttons on the front with fret buttons at both the top and bottom of the fretboard. Where it differs is with a thumbstick located behind the guitar neck and a 3.5mm audio jack. PDP also says the guitar has an ambidextrous design along with a battery life of up to 36 hours on a single charge.

As of writing, the price and specific release date of the PDP Riffmaster has yet to be released.

Recently, Harmonix, which is owned by Epic Games, announced the final DLC for Rock Band 4 as the company moves to fully supporting Fortnite Festival. Fortnite Festival is currently free-to-play within Fortnite itself, but only supports playing on standard controllers until an update is released that adds guitar controller support.
