Koei Tecmo has made Nioh 3 a timed console exclusive, with the game only available on PlayStation 5 until August 2026.
Nioh 3, the latest action-RPG, is all set to release for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on February 6, 2026. Ahead of the launch, we have been told that the developers have backed up the demo, and players will be able to carry over the progress to the full game. Now, details on console exclusivity have been revealed.
Nioh 3 is Exclusive on PS5 Until August 2026
Revealed through a new PlayStation 5 features video, Nioh 3 is a timed console exclusive on the platform. The game will not be available on any other console at least until 6 months after February 6, 2026. Post that the developers can plan an Xbox Series X/S launch; however, that release date hasn’t been specified yet.
Coming to the PlayStation 5 features for Nioh 3, firstly, players will be able to take in all the game’s breathtaking visuals in 4K (a 4K display is required). There’s full-fledged haptic feedback, so you can feel enemy hits exactly from the direction they are hitting from, along with vibrations for different interactions.
Moreover, adaptive triggers will be included for added immersion, with different levels of resistance for archery and gunshots. Lastly, there’s 3D audio, letting you hear sounds from where they originate in the game.
