The Nintendo Switch 2 was demoed to developers at Gamescom last month. This according to a new report from Eurogamer.
It had been rumored that the follow-up to the Switch was being shown at Gamescom. At the time, Insider Gaming sources specifically said, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire”.
This latest report states that the demo presentations took place behind closed doors at the event. Partners who were a part of them were shown tech demos showing the improved power and ability of the next console from Nintendo.

The game specifically used, Eurogamer says, was 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The version of the game used was designed to “hit the Switch 2’s beefier target specs”.
As far as when the next Nintendo console will be released, the latest signs point to some time in 2024.
Nintendo didn’t respond to Insider Gaming when reached for comment on the report.
