For the first time, Hockey Hall of Fame and legendary Boston Bruins defenseman Bobby Orr is entering the world of video games in NHL 24.
EA Sports announced on Thursday that Orr will be playable for the first time in any video game.
“Celebrate one of the most iconic players in NHL history with a Bobby Orr player item and themed Bruins gear in Ultimate Team and World of Chel, available to redeem by any NHL 24 player who logs in before 1/2/24,” EA Sports said.
The news of Orr’s addition to the game comes on the day of the next major patch for NHL 24. The November 9th patch features updates to the “Michigan” lacrosse-style shot, the removal of various glitches leading to easy goals, and much more.
Specifically on the “Michigan”, EA Sports is making it more difficult to pull off after community feedback claimed it was too easy.
“[We] added a chance to bobble a Lacrosse attempt while performing the move using the Total Control skill move button,” the notes read. “The lower the deke attribute rating on the skater, the higher the chance for a bobble.”
