Fortnite’s consistent slew of new content shows no signs of stopping, and a new update is right around the corner with the launch of v40.30.
Still in the midst of Chapter 7, Season 2, Epic Games’ turbulent year with mass layoffs and a delay to the start of the current season has hit the company hard, but the push to bring out regular content and new updates continues.
Fortnite shows no signs of slowing down and continues to evolve as planned, and Insider Gaming has all the important details on the arrival of v40.30.
When is the Next Fortnite Update?

Fortnite’s next update is due to enter the fray on Thursday, April 30, when Epic Games deploys v40.30 into the fold.
Epic Games has a settled release structure of regular updates, resulting in downtime and content updates every two weeks. Following on from the last update on April 16, preparations have begun for the deployment of v40.20 this week.

The milestone is a significant one, as it starts the countdown to the end of Chapter 7, Season 2. While there is still a while to go, with the new season not kicking off until early June, there are only a few more updates until the major seasonal transition.
Though the update is not as major as the last one, which introduced a new Fortnite Festival season and marked Save the World’s arrival as a free-to-play mode, there’s still plenty to sink your teeth into.
What’s Coming in Fortnite v40.30?
Fortnite’s update on April 30 will bring a host of new content changes, including new weapons and new maps to Blitz. There are fewer standout introductions than in previous updates.
However, a considerable inclusion is the expected return of skins from the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass, which focused on Marvel characters and Doctor Doom. Following Fortnite’s changes to Battle Pass plans, the exclusivity period is now over, and skins could be made available in the shop.
