New Xbox Series S with 1TB SSD Revealed at The Xbox Showcase

At the end of the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11, Microsoft announced a brand new Xbox Series S console with a 1TB SSD

A new Xbox Series S console has been revealed at the Xbox Showcase. The new system is almost identical to the original Xbox Series S with just two major differences: the new one comes in a “carbon black” color and includes a 1TB SSD.

The new version of the Xbox Series S launches on September 1 and will cost $350. That’s $50 more for double the amount of storage compared to the original version.

For those that don’t remember, the Xbox Series S is Microsoft’s digital-only console offering. It’s cheaper than the Xbox Series X, but it comes with the concession of being a 1440p machine as opposed to 4K. It does offer up to 120fps and HDR for displays and TVs that support it.

What do you make of the new Xbox Series S with a larger 1TB SSD for storage? Will you be looking to upgrade your setup? Let us know in the comments below!
