New Spider-Man 2 Details Coming This Week

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2023, and its release is finally right around the corner. The first Marvel’s Spider-Man game became one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives when it was released in 2018 and the spin-off title Miles Morales served as a launch title for the PlayStation 5 in November 2020.

This new entry in the series should provide more of the same of what we’ve come to know and expect from the series and will keep gamers occupied until Marvel’s Wolverine is released, likely in late 2024. Ahead of its release, there will be new information coming soon which will reveal a lot of what we can expect from Insomniac Games’ latest title.

Insomniac Games recently held press events in London and Los Angeles to showcase the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ahead of its release on October 20. The teams at Sony and Insomniac Games went all out with the event, with the press areas being based on locations from the game, including a lounge room inspired by Coney Island with playable carnival games and a photo-op. There was also a Kraven-themed room featuring a red carpet, knight armors, and a throne, as well as a room inspired by Dr. Connor’s lab.

Details from the event will go live on September 15 at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET, which will bring us plenty of fresh information surrounding what to expect from the game when it launches next month. If you want to play the game at launch then now is a great time to go and purchase a PlayStation 5 as it will be an exclusive title for the platform, with the series finally moving on from the PlayStation 4, with the first entry and spin-off Miles Morales being available for both consoles.

  • They need to announce the showcase already! If it’s a state of play fine but they need to get better wording when we think showcase we think big games when we think state of play we think smaller scale.

  • I hope it’s this week for the rumored state of play and it better be massive they had a awful showcase in June. I hope the rumors are true that it has a ton of Japanese titles hopefully Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer finally shows up here, Tenkaichi 4, the Shonen Jump crossover game, Stellar Blade release date, Bluepoint’s new game, Wolverine, Rise Of The Ronin, Silent Hill 2 remake, Castlevania, KOTOR remake, Bend’s new game, SOCOM, 1 of Sucker Punch’s new games, Manchester’s new game, Twisted Metal, and they might as well show GTA 6 here since it missed E3.
