New Pokémon Pokopia Update Fixes Many Broken Quests—Full Patch Notes

Pokémon Pokopia might be the best Pokémon game in years, maybe ever, but it’s not without its flaws. One of the most notable downsides is certain Requests not behaving as intended, leaving players unable to progress—a new Pokémon Pokopia looks to fix this.

Having some Request trouble in Pokémon Pokopia? Ditto. Certain Requests have been as troublesome as high-level Pokémon when you don’t have enough Gym badges—they won’t listen.

Pokémon Pokopia Fixes Several Key Issues

Nintendo is looking to fix various Pokémon Pokopia Requests, such as Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach, and Rocky Ridges, to overcome unlock conditions and progression issues.

If any of these quests have been giving you grief, help is on the way. Below are the confirmed patch notes and what the original problem was.

All Pokémon Pokopia March 17 Patch Notes

Confirmed Issues

  • During the Withered Wasteland request “Help make a home!”, Squirtle moves to the top of a tree and cannot be spoken to, causing it to become impossible to proceed with the request.
  • During the Bleak Beach request “Find the Pokémon Center!”, if you break the cracked block in the bridge before Professor Tangrowth crosses it, it becomes difficult to proceed with the request.
  • During the Bleak Beach request “Find the Pokémon Center!”, if you perform actions in a certain order, Professor Tangrowth’s bridge repair event will not trigger, causing it to become impossible to proceed with the request.
  • If you perform actions in a certain order at Rocky Ridges, the event in which you meet Rotom will not trigger.
  • If the Rocky Ridges request “Clear the path!” is triggered under certain conditions, it becomes difficult to proceed with the request.
  • Spinarak’s type is listed incorrectly in the Pokédex.

Plans for Improvement

We plan to implement improvements regarding the following:

  • During the Withered Wasteland request “Rock Smash your way to treasure!”, if you place another block at the same location as the cracked block close to Hitmonchan, it will make it hard to see how you should proceed.
  • During the Bleak Beach request “To Snorlax”, if you place another block at the same location as the cracked block close to Snorlax, it will make it hard to see how you should proceed.

Plans for Future Support

We plan to distribute the update data with fixes for the above issues in the near future.

If you have encountered one of these issues in your copy of the game, it will be resolved if you download the update data.

We will continue to investigate other issues.
