MultiVersus Trailer Teases Jason Voorhees, Agent Smith, & More

In a new trailer today, Player First Games revealed that Agent Smith and Jason Voorhees are coming to MultiVersus for its long-awaited return.

There was also a peek at the city of Townsville, teasing that the Powerpuff Girls are also likely on the way. Fans also caught a glimpse of the Teen Titans Tower, suggesting the beloved team is coming too.

Rumors about these additions to the roster appeared very recently. Twitter/X user @AusilMV spotted related tags on the new trailer ahead of its premiere. The new MultiVersus characters certainly open the door to more related IP, and Jason was surely a welcome surprise in today’s trailer.

MultiVersus Jason Joker Smith

Fans are already speculating on the future of the MultiVersus roster using hints in today’s trailer.

Twitter user @Shaggy_Leaks noticed that the WB tower in the trailer featured a trident, katana, and more. This may imply that the devs are planning on introducing fan favorite characters like Samurai Jack.

It’s clear there’s a lot of investment behind the game’s collaborations, even adding an NHL Face Off event last April that featured real-time animation.

MultiVersus shut down its Open Beta in June 2023, so the full release will arrive almost a year later. Last March, developer Player First Games finally announced that MultiVersus will launch on May 28, 2024.

MultiVersus will be free to play for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It will also support cross-play and cross-progression.
