More Video Game Movies And TV Shows Are Coming

Get ready to see more movies and TV shows featuring your favorite video game franchises. DreamWorks Animation — the studio behind the Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon franchises — have partnered with Story Kitchen to bring more gaming IPs to the big screen.

According to Deadline, this new deal will give DreamWorks Animation a “first-look” option for any video game IP that Story Kitchen acquires for future production.

Currently, Story Kitchen is working on a Vampire Survivors animated show as well as a live-action Dredge movie. Neither of those products are a part of this new deal as they are both already in production.

As far as what DreamWorks will be working on, Deadline mentions in its report that “future announcements are expected soon”.

In it’s statement on the partnership, Story Kitchen said it was “incredibly excited to work with DreamWorks Animation as our first -official- film partner, since SK launched in 2022.”
