Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launches November 6, 2026, with new multiplayer maps, the X01 DMZ facility, weapons, and Warzone integration.
The game’s development team officially announced the inaugural season of the latest Call of Duty game in a lengthy blog post detailing the new multiplayer maps, weapons, a revamped battle pass, and more.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Roadmap: What Is Coming?
Among the incoming additions will be multiple multiplayer maps. Three will arrive at launch: Backstab, Canyon, and Shoot House. Each map is medium-sized and suited for six-on-six gameplay. Shoot House is the only reimagined map launching with the upcoming season.
Ministry, Overflow, and additional undisclosed maps arrive at mid-season. The announcement promises more than six maps in total.
Other major changes include a 100-tier Battle Pass. Premium purchasers get a catch-up system that automatically advances players who fall behind to the reward matching the current day of the season, up to day 50. Activision says this guarantees 50-plus rewards, not automatic completion of all 100 tiers.
As for Warzone integration, the Season 1 update brings both the Hajin and Zodiac maps to the game, plus the return of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. More information on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s integration into this free-to-play battle royale will drop on Monday, November 2.
Additionally, the new designation X01 location is coming to DMZ. The location is a previously undiscovered weapons facility that enemy forces recently seized.
The Watcher for operations inside X01 is Ghost, who serves as your squad’s voice on the ground, guiding Operators through X01 as you push deeper into the facility. His updates track the route, flag emerging threats, and hint at what remains as each new area is accessed. Expect multiple pages of new DMZ Orders now that infiltrations into X01 have been sanctioned.
