A new blog post has revealed the early access and open beta dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, arriving towards the latter half of August.
A new blog post confirms that the Call of Duty NEXT event will be hosted on August 21, where players will get to see live gameplay, a lineup of content for the game’s multiplayer, and much more. The early access beta for MW4 will kick off directly after the Call of Duty NEXT event.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Kicks Off Right After Call of Duty NEXT in August
There will be two stages of public beta testing for Modern Warfare 4: early access and open beta. Early Access will only be available for users who have pre-ordered the game on XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, or PC. Early Access beta is reserved for weekend one, which begins on August 21 and will end on August 25.
Open beta is set for weekend two, when players on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, regardless of pre-orders, can try out MW4. Open beta dates have been set between August 28 to September 1, 2026.
What’s Included in Modern Warfare 4 Beta
During the beta, players will be able to explore a variety of multiplayer maps and modes, with a selection of new operators and 19 different weapons. Players will be able to try out 3v3 skirmishes, massive tactical battles featuring tanks and more, and new and returning modes like Search & Destroy, Kill Block, and the Training Mobility Course. More gameplay details will be revealed soon.
