MLB The Show 23 Cover Athlete Revealed

Sony San Diego has officially revealed the MLB The Show 23 cover athlete. Gracing the cover this year is none other than Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Miami Marlins.

The reveal happened on the studio’s Twitch channel.

This marks Chisholm Jr.’s first time on the cover as well as the first time a member of the Marlins has been featured on the main American release of the game. For those wanting more information, no other details about this year’s game were revealed during the broadcast. It was said during the stream that more details on the game would start to be released in the “days ahead”.

Like last year, however, the game will be available Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Who is MLB The 23 Cover Athlete Jazz Chisholm Jr.?

A three-year member of the Marlins, Chisholm Jr. was voted to his first All-Star Game in 2022. He was leading the Marlins in home runs and RBIs before suffering a stress fracture to his lower back. Prior to being injured, Chisholm Jr. hit .254 with 14 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases in just 60 games. This year, Chisholm is moving from second base to the outfield for the Marlins.

MLB The Show 23 launches March 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Preorders for the game open on February 6.
