During its Xbox Developer_Direct event on Wednesday, Microsoft announced that Minecraft Legends will launch on April 18. The game will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
In addition to the release date announcement, Microsoft also revealed details surrounding the game’s PVP features. The mode sees two teams compete with the goal of destroying the other’s base. Players will be responsible for building up their base, finding resources to help, keeping the piglins at bay, and more. Players will be able to summon mobs to assist in the efforts to take down their opponent’s base.
Like the base game itself, the PVP world will be procedurally generated. Mojang says that this will allow each game to be a unique experience no matter how many times you decide to play it.
With PVP, Minecraft Legends will support cross-platform play and online matchmaking.
