Yahoo! Finance shared a quote from Micron Technology’s CEO, Sanjay Mehrotra, who echoed President Donald Trump’s recent edict to refer to AI as “Super Intelligence.” He said Micron is increasing its investments in technology products and manufacturing to advance the newly dubbed “Super Intelligence.”
“Micron delivered record fiscal 2026 results, and we expect an even stronger fiscal 2027,” said Sanjay Mehrotra, Chairman and CEO of Micron Technology. “AI is becoming Super Intelligence (SI), and memory enhances this intelligence and the competitiveness of our customers’ platforms. We are increasing our investments in technology, products and manufacturing to help drive SI forward with our customers, and our Strategic Customer Agreements provide added confidence in the durability of Micron’s financial performance.”
Micron’s sales have grown quickly, per the report, and up about 37% each year for the last five years, which is better than most companies in the semiconductor industry. Also, their sales grew by 130% in just the last two years, which is even more than the growth over the past five years.
