Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Announced For 2025 Release

Nintendo has finally taken the cover off Metroid Prime 4, revealing Metroid Prime 4 Beyond with a release date of 2025.

The reveal came at the end of the company’s Nintendo Direct event on Tuesday.

“The galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter Samus Aran will embark on a new mission. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, a new entry in the Metroid Prime series, is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2025,” Nintendo’s press release said.

Like past Metroid Prime games, the new game will also be from a first-person perspective. The reveal also came with nearly two full minutes of gameplay, showing the type of gameplay Metroid Prime fans have come to expect from the series.

First announced in 2017, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond has gone nearly the entire Nintendo Switch lifespan before its release. In 2019, it was confirmed that the game’s development had been restarted. Based on the timing of the new release date, it could be assumed that the game will also be available on Nintendo’s Switch successor console.

What do you think of the first look at Metroid Prime 4 Beyond? Do you think the game sticks to its 2025 release date?

  • Is Platinum working on Astral Chain 2? What’s the launch lineup or first years of Switch 2 games looking like last I heard a 3D Donkey Kong was being made and another big 3D Mario. I guess next Pokémon isn’t far behind. Last I heard a new Fire Emblem was coming but maybe that’s for this new console? That seems like it unless there’s remakes?

FromSoftware Might Consider ‘Total Co-op’ For Future Games

The gaming industry has consistently favoured multiplayer co-op games, as having more people to share an experience with is always better. However, FromSoftware has always prioritised solo experiences with limited multiplayer features, which has unfortunately left players unable to fully immerse themselves in the game with their friends. Interestingly, this circumstance may only be temporary. […]
