Funcom has just published a punchy one-minute-long trailer announcing the impending arrival of Metal: Hellsinger VR, due to launch on Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro, PSVR2, and Stream VR later this year. First released in 2022, Metal: Hellsinger enjoyed an overwhelmingly positive reception thanks to its visceral hack-and-slash combat fused with one of the best soundtracks ever featured in a rhythm shooter.
Immersive Metal
Metal: Hellsinger might look questionable on the surface, but it’s a fantastic rhythm shooter with stellar reviews and an award-winning soundtrack. It’s a hellish slasher-shooter title that rewards players for slaying demons to the beat of some of the best metal tracks in music history.
And now, it’s coming to VR devices.
Funcom posted a short trailer on YouTube to announce Metal: Hellsinger VR, which has already been met with positive feedback:
VR adaptations are still gathering steam in the gaming world but are becoming increasingly popular. Last year, one of the best VR adaptations was Horizon: Call of the Mountain, and to kick off 2024, 4A Games revealed Metro: Awakening, a VR-based version of the popular post-apocalyptic series.
Metal: Hellsinger VR promises a high-octane, no-holds-barred combat experience witnessed from one of the most immersive perspectives in gaming. Just make sure you’ve got enough room around you to accommodate ferocious headbanging.
