Mega Crit is “blown away” by Slay the Spire 2’s Early Access launch after the long-awaited sequel to the tentpole deckbuilder soared to the top of the SteamDB player charts.
Slay the Spire 2 entered Early Access on Steam on March 5. In that time, the game has had a very positive launch. Peak player count rose over 500,000 in less than 3 days. Now, Mega Crit has expressed its gratitude to players for the game’s success so far.

In a tweet, the Mega Crit team said they were taken aback by the game’s success and noted that they’re now even more driven to make Slay the Spire 2 the best game it can be. They also joked that they would eventually catch up to Hollow Knight: Silksong’s success.
