Marvel Rivals Season 3 Characters and Release Date Leaked by Twitch

In a blog post on the Twitch site promoting the upcoming Summer Drops Fest, the Amazon-backed streaming giant let slip two new heroes coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 3, along with a release date for the content. While the post has since been edited to remove all traces of these leaks, eagle-eyed gamers were too fast and were able to capture the content

Ignite the Action

On the Twitch Blog post set up to promote Summer Drops Fest 2025, it was revealed that Phoenix and Blade are coming to Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awakens. It was also stressed that the Marvel Rivals Season 3 release date will be July 11, which was previously unconfirmed (and remains so).

Here’s the original text from the edited post:

Phoenix and Blade ignite the action in Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awakens! Get ready for all-new team-ups, stunning Venomized costumes, and sizzling summer events that will turn up the heat. Don’t miss out – tune in to Marvel Rivals on Twitch for exclusive drops and dive into this epic new chapter!

(Thanks to The Pop Verse for the quote)

If you head to the blog post above, you’ll see that it now just mentions ‘exclusive in-game items from Marvel Rivals’ and doesn’t show any reference to a release date or the Season 3 heroes up for grabs.

It’s worth stressing that nothing is confirmed until it’s confirmed, and NetEase might go another way with something, somewhere. Maybe Twitch was so fast to edit the article because it was just wrong.

What heroes do you want to see next in Marvel Rivals? Let me know on the Insider Gaming forum.
