We’re almost halfway through Season 10 of Marvel Rivals, with Gorr the God Butcher the latest addition to the ever-growing roster of heroes and villains. Of course, the season hasn’t been without its drawbacks, with plenty of the community complaining about the overall balance of the game.
Well, with Season 10.5 on the horizon, there’s a chance for some notable patch notes that could update the meta, and then there’s the matter of the next Path to Doomsday event, which is bound to be around the corner.

Season 10.5 of Marvel Rivals is set to begin on October 9, 2026, exactly four months after Season 10 began.
It’s common knowledge now that each season is split into two, with each half lasting around four weeks. In that time, we can expect new characters, maps, updates and of course, fresh cosmetics.
It’s a busy schedule, but nothing compares to the insanity that was Season 9. With all of the new Team-Ups, it was a season of relearning the game to some degree, with the meta shifting drastically. Has Season 10 managed to maintain the hype? It’s hard to say, but fingers crossed Season 10.5 has a lot to offer.

Judging by previous Marvel Rivals seasons as a guideline, expect Season 10.5 to begin on August 7, 2026, at 3 AM PT.
It might not be as exciting as the start of a brand new season, but the mid-season split is still as good a time as any to jump into Marvel Rivals, especially with the new wave on content bound to follow.

Who’s The New Hero For Season 10.5?
For the first time since Marvel Rivals was released, there won’t be a new hero joining the roster with Season 10.5.
Don’t worry, though, as it shouldn’t be a regular occurrence going forward. The decision was made to allow the devs to focus more on the next instalments of the Path to Doomsday events, with Infinity War and Endgame-themed activities due over the next two months.
NetEase has remained tight-lipped on how they could present themselves, with many hoping that Thanos would be added to the roster. There’s still a chance, but based on character leaks he might be further down the pecking order than fans would have hoped.
