Lords of the Fallen Release Date Revealed in New Trailer

Lords of the Fallen has received an all-new gameplay trailer, and it looks positively phenomenal. It looks as though CI Games has poured ingenuity, passion, and a whole lot of darkness into the reboot of the 2014 title. In the four-minute trailer posted online, the Lords of the Fallen release date was revealed to be October 13th, 2023 – and despite hating ‘Soulslike’ games, I for one am extremely excited.

From gargantuan bosses to boasting the ability to look through a veil that separates realms, Lords of the Fallen looks equal parts terrifying and mysterious. There are puzzling elements, a gorgeous world to explore, hardcore battles to overcome, and a far-reaching story to dominate.

Lords of the Fallen Will Rise

If you didn’t know you were watching a trailer for Lords of the Fallen, you’d think it was a From Software exposé. It’s in that kind of vein, and everything from the movement to the characters on screen is reminiscent of something created by the developers of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Bloodborne.

Here’s the trailer for your enjoyment:

Along with the gameplay trailer, CI Games also dropped the various editions of Lords of the Fallen that are up for pre-order. There are physical and digital editions of the game, and at the highest level, a particularly tasty collector’s edition awaits.

For those just looking for the game, it’ll be the standard edition. There’s a deluxe edition that includes digital assets regardless of the version purchased, but the collector’s edition really is the pièce de résistance.

In the Lords of the Fallen Collector’s Edition, players can secure all the digital assets that come with the lower edition, as well as an exclusive steelbook, double-sided poster and art cards, and the crowning item, a 10-inch statue of The Dark Crusader, complete with a metal display case.

Lords of the Fallen is shaping up to be one of the better games of 2023. There isn’t long to wait, and before we know it, October 13th will have come around.
